At Okuda Roast Cafe, the coffee experience is unlike any other. Customers rave about the Italian blend siphoned coffee, which is not only aromatic but also bursting with flavor—truly an experience for any coffee enthusiast. As one customer puts it, "Great coffee. If you're in the mood for something beyond coffee, the menu also offers delightful options like the bacon egg set, mixed juice, and coffee jelly. Each dish is beautifully presented and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Imagine digging into a creamy yoghurt paired with fresh fruits or savoring a delicious salad that’s as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. As one satisfied customer mentioned, "The salad had a beautiful presentation, a nice touch to the meal!"

Service at Okuda Roast Cafe is notably polite, even if it feels a bit distant at times. This cafe retains an authentic experience, reminiscent of a bygone era where the focus is on quality coffee and the art of brewing rather than just the hustle of the modern cafe culture. As you sip your drink, you might find joy in watching their meticulous brewing process, particularly the siphon coffee being made right in front of you—a spectacle that many visitors have found fascinating.

In an age where chain coffeehouses seem ubiquitous, Okuda Roast Cafe stands out as a sanctuary for those seeking a more genuine coffee experience. With a nonsmoking environment and a commitment to quality, it invites you to relish coffee as it was meant to be enjoyed. Whether you're a lifelong espresso drinker or a curious newcomer, the cafe promises a memorable visit.

Kind of distant service but no fault in timing or politeness. we stumbled in here and didn't know what was going on. Felt like we had stepped back in time. We had an Iced coffee with syrup in separate jar and an Italian blend siphoned coffee. All lovely even for espresso drinkers. Beautifully outfitted cafe. Looked like a lifelong passion pursued without outside influence.

This is a classic Japanese coffee house with individual coffee syphons and the beans you order. Nice China coffee cups. Definitely not a Starbucks. Much better experience. Great coffee. Reminds me of Japan 45 years ago. Not easy to find these days. Nonsmoking.

We were very happy with our meal. Had the bacon egg set, mixed juice, and coffee jelly. The ambience of the cafe was cozy, run by one master. The yoghurt had a creamy consistency, the fruits were fresh. The salad had a beautiful presentation, a nice touch to the meal! English menu was available, thank you for the thoughtfulness.

Lovely little smoke-free retro Kissaten coffee shop with soft classy chairs, chandeliers, beautiful cups & fun to watch them make the coffee in a siphon.

Coffee was really good, lots of choice and FULL of flavour. Cake was also really good. Wish we had sat at counter rather than table to easily watch production of coffee. A 'must go to' place for every coffee lover.

Excellent coffee shop with English breakfast menu. Fantastic service and food, plus the best cup of coffee we have had in Japan. Exceptional value too!

I came in because it has nice reviews and I have to agree that their coffee is really great! I told the owner I’m a foreigner because I didn’t feel confident with my Japanese, and he offered me an English menu. Very considerate. I didn’t use it because I can read Japanese tho. I ordered the Special Morning set for only 650 yen.

We ate the breakfast set that includes fantastic drip coffee (extremely tasty), toasted bread with butter (extremely tasty), variations of eggs (either a boiled egg or fried egg), and a small yogurt with pieces of fruit and jam. We were pleasantly surprised about how good this breakfast was. Our favorite breakfast in Japan so far. Absolute recommendation. And the atmosphere is very relaxed and slow - like a time machine to a less busy era. Our thanks to the owner. (The owner will give you an English menu upon entering if you don't speak Japanese.)
